October saw the annual 2024 MACA Cancer 200 Ride take place across the scenic Perth countryside, raising vital funds for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. This grueling 200-kilometer cycling challenge spanned two days and brought together over 1,800 riders with a shared mission: to support innovative cancer research that aims to change lives.
A Two-Day Journey Across Perth Countryside for a Worthy Cause
As a longstanding sponsorship partner, MacLean International proudly supported Team Woodside, which included 40+ cyclists who braved the journey from Perth to Mandurah and back. Day One started at the iconic Optus Stadium in Perth, with riders cycling to Mandurah, where an overnight camping stay broke up the trip. The following morning, Team Woodside set off early for the return leg to Perth, following the stunning coastal routes.
All Team Woodside cyclists completed the course, collectively raising an incredible $200,000. Their efforts contributed to the event's grand total of $10.2 million raised for the Harry Perkins Institute—a monumental achievement for cancer research.
